TECHNICAL CONSIDERATIONS

Music Length: There is NO MINIMUM of time, if you manage to transmit all these aspects in one minute… go for it! But in Hell we don’t like dragging on forever (wink wink) so the performance cannot be longer than 4 MINUTES.

Use of stage: any pandemonium has its own structure and, despite of our efforts to make you feel at home, there are some rules of the game that you should comply with if you don’t want to be kicked out of hell.

  • Use of fire and flammable substances is not allowed. Other liquids, smoke and particles use is limited to the stage perimeter and must be consulted with the organization to determine if it is possible in terms of time and cleaning.
  • You are not allowed to staple, sew or glue anything to the walls or the curtain. To hang something from the truss you must consult the organization.
  • Any physical contact with the jury and the audience is limited by the principles of dignity and physical integrity.

We would like you to create and express freely, but please check with us any transgression you think it could come into conflict with these rules. Otherwise we’ll have to take Cerberus for a walk…

What aspects are we judging?

Our Coven of Judges may grant you a maximum score of 100 points. They will assess the pole execution but mostly the artistic elements and the impact generated in the audience.

CRITERIOS para las categoría individuales, dobles y grupos

Dramatic Staging (15 points)

  • Atmosphere creation (5 points): generate a bewitching ambient to shroud the jury and asphyxiate the audience.
  • Use and integration of the props in the storytelling (10 points): we recommend a balance between madness and good judgment in the uses of scenery and human props.

Characterization and Costume (15 points)

  • Character Development (10 points): the make up and costume choice should be adequate to the creature you are bringing to life. EVERYTHING is permitted in the making of the character, there are no limitations in clothing or footwear (except for those elements which may be susceptible to damage the poles or the facilities[1])
  • X Factor (5 points): we love special effects, try not to disappoint us.

Storytelling and Character (20 points)

  • Interpretation (5 points): make your acting believable and authentic, by integrating it within the theme.
  • Storytelling (5 points): develop a theme, create a story with a start, a climax and an ending. Trap us within your fiction and make us travel in our seats.
  • Originality (10 points): search and glean, rack your brains and bring us something brimming with imagination.

Execution (30 points)

  • Choreographic Balance (9 points). One point for each element that we can cross out from this list:
    1. Static
    2. Spinning
    3. Flexibility
    4. Strength
    5. Acrobatics
    6. Dynamics
    7. Climbs, drops and jumps
    8. Floorwork
    9. Dance
  • Musicality (4 points): follow the beat, get a rhythm, make the music guide your story and your steps.
  • Creative Tricks (4 points): cook us a succulent, varied and provocative menu, we don’t want the typical combo dish.
  • Creative Transitions (4 points): get out of your comfort zone and explore bizarre combinations to shock the jury.
  • Technique (3 points): we don’t care about lines if you don’t, but if you do we will know… Execute your piece skillfully and finish your moves.
  • Fluidity (3 points): be graceful and spontaneous, make it flow and look easy.
  • Energy Control (3 points): breath, unleash, master.

Emotional Impression (20 points)

What are the judges going to feel when they see you on stage? This aspect evaluates your ability to raise emotions through your performance. You are expected to provoke profound and heterogeneous feelings that stir up the members of our tribunal.

Individual Battles CRITERIA

Execution (30 points)

  • Dynamic combos and spins (5 points)
  • Original flexi and strength tricks (5 points)
  • Extreme flexi and strength tricks (5 points)
  • Climbs, drops, acrobatic transitions, jumps and flips, in the pole (10 points)
  • Moves out of the pole (5 points)

Inmortality Level (20 points)

  • Explosive Power (10 points): energy level to execute the tricks.
  • Confidence and Lethal Power Control (5 points): move control of each transition and acrobatics will be assess. Shoot to kill in each round, but don't commit suicide.
  • Stamina (5 points): endurance capacity through the battle. If you are tired you better pretend.

Incentive (20 points)

  • Charisma, Attitude and Confidence (5 points): showed on stage during the battle.
  • Public involvement (5 points): ability to make the audience participate.
  • Strategy (10 points): we will asses the ebb and flow of the battle, without interruptions and chosing the logic sequence to stand up against the opponent.

Impacto (10 puntos)

Make the audience and the judges breathless, provoke a scream and keep them on the brink of a heart attack during the whole battle. We will value all those coup the grace: a trick that hits the bullseye and earns standing ovation, a combo fit perfectly in time with the music that gives the jury goosebumps, a transition that startles the very stage manager... oh yeah!

  • Dynamic combos and sincronized spins (5 points)
  • Use of the partner to enter and exit the pole (10 points): throws and catches.
  • Climbs, drops, acrobatic transitions, jumps and flips, in the pole (10 points): execute by both members of the couple.
  • Sincronized moves out of the pole (5 points)

Inmortality Level (10 points)

  • Confidence and Lethal Power Control (5 points): move control of each transition and acrobatics will be assess. Shoot to kill in each round, but don't commit suicide.
