Horror TAXONOMY

In this competition there are NO women's or men's categories; horror doesn’t care about gender and our tribunal is trained to transcend labels and judge each performance as something absolutely singular.

This is the Taxonomy of species which fit in the HORROR FEST:

Zombie Parade

AMATEUR Category. Requirements:

• BE an amateur level Pole Dance trainee (regardless of years of practice)
• NOT to have been placed in the top 3 places in a superior division in other competitions
• NOT to be a Pole teacher, trainer or coach
• NOT to make money Pole Dancing

Vampire Feast

SEMI-PRO Category. Requirements:

• BE an intermediate-advanced level Pole Dance trainee
• NOT to have been placed in the top 3 places in a superior division in other competitions
• NOT to be a Pole teacher, trainer or coach
• NOT to make money Pole Dancing

Monster Mash

PROFESSIONALCategory. Requirements:

• BE an advanced level Pole Dance trainee
• BE a Pole teacher, trainer or coach
• BE a professional who makes money Pole Dancing
• NOT to have been placed in the top 3 places in a superior division in other competitions

Demogorgon Chaos

ELITE Category. Requirements:

• Haber hecho podio en categoría Élite en otras competiciones
• O haber quedado primero en categoría Profesional en otras competiciones y tener nivel, a juicio de nuestras NORNAS[1], para pertenecer a la categoría Élite.

Witching Hour

CATEGORY MASTER 40MASTER 40 Category. This taxonomy is OPTIONAL for over 40's; who may opt to participate in any other division if they wish. Horror cares about age: seniority is a rank here in Hell and we’d like to honor the decrepitude of our applicants.

Voodoo Power

GROUP Category. for those beings who like to perform as a couple, a threesome or a group. We won’t establish divisions by level as we understand that it is difficult to configure groups with a homogeneous skill set. Therefore you are all invited to take part in this pandemonium, no matter your experience with the Pole.

Trick or Treat

BATTLE Category. for those creatures who want to fight a duel. The contenders can participate individually or in couples. This means that we’ll have one on one and two on two battles. In this category we won’t establish divisions by level either.

IMPORTANT WARNING: The names of these categories DO NOT determine the theme, they are part of the aesthetic organization of the event and shouldn’t influence the artistic elements of the piece.

[1] The NORNAS are the Oracle in charge of selecting the participants. Three Pole and Dance professionals who will study the candidates and consult their runes to give us an answer.
